ature modelling starts from around 35 and there are no age limits so a there's lot of potential for models starting out a little later in life, and encouragement for those of us reaching a certain age feeling like our work is over.

Most catalogues have a section of clothing/shoes aimed at 40 plus and with these lines available it opens opportunities in catwalk to show the ranges at events.

Mature models are also required for advertising certain products that the more mature women and men would only really use; a young model would make the advert look silly.

Mature models can find regular work in TV commercials and programmes. A producer may need someone to play a mum or dad of a 15 year old, or even a grandma, a young person couldn’t fill these roles.

The requirements for a mature model are not as strict as those in the other modelling categories. The main point is to be attractive and healthy looking for your age.

Modelling and Fashion Quotes

"When I was modeling as a teenager... I just ignored it when people said to lose two inches off my hips. I had more jobs than I could take. So why would I even want more?" -- Alexis Bledel
